A Hike from Vitiana to Tereglio

One late morning after consuming enough food to last at least the whole day, three of us decided to take a hike up the hill from Vitiana to Tereglio. We knew the exercise would be good for us and the views would be spectacular. A quaint hilltop village approximately 3 miles straight up would be an adventure that appealed to over-achieving photographers. My own goal is to always try to find a minimum of three photos that would make a location worth remembering.
There was one main cobbled street that ran the length of the town and all the houses faced the road. Approximately 175 people live in Tereglio and we saw two of them. The church as usual was at the top of the hill and from the highest point we could see across the treetops to our village of Vitiana. On our way back, we followed a small trail that lead to a very old cemetery and it was here that I found my three photographs that would make the hike worth taking. As we were almost finished with our hike, I saw my first "Italian snake" out of the corner of my eye! Good God, I didn't know that I could leap so far sideways, nor did I expect the compulsive utterance of obscenities, known as Tourette's syndrome. My sincere apologies to my good friends!
