Once we entered the Termini Rail Station, we were looking like we knew what we were doing, but we did not have a clue where to find the large Partenze board for the time and track (binario) of our train!
Reserved seats in (carrozza) car #4, the "Funsome Fivesome" are on their way to Hotel Orto de' Medici,
in Florence.

Florence is the capital of Tuscany, a well known region in Central Italy. Tuscany is known for its artistic legacy and influence on high culture. The Renaissance, (which was the revival of art, architecture, and literature under the influence of the classical antiquity) was a cultural movement that spanned roughly the 14th to the 17th century, beginning in Florence in the Late Middle Ages.
We arrived around noon at our hotel and it was just beginning to rain. Just enough time to unpack, eat pizza, and start "marching". Our 2:30 p.m. reservations at the Accademia Museum, would bring us face to face with Michelangelo's David. A standing male nude, 13 feet of marble statue, representing the Biblical hero David was created by Michelangelo in a period of three years. He received the commission at the young age of 26. From previous visits I remember how the veins in David's hands were bulging out just like my hands look today. Strange memories!
No designer labels on our rain gear!
I will admit that I have always been fashion challenged, but this picture is proof that my "bag lady" days are just around the corner.
There were a number of windows that caught my eye, but mainly because of the presentations of design elements and principles. The one thing I was hoping to buy was a leather jacket while in Florence.
Four out of five bought items from our friend, Vito. Three jackets and one purse made Vito a very happy Italian salesman!
